right brain planning as prayer

To live in this world you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go. -Mary Oliver, In Blackwater Woods

Art for Day 20 is a page of several layers of collage. As I began piecing it together, it felt like prayer — a reaching out for healing within.

Prayer is inviting connection, something I needed as I began my day yesterday. Something I needed in order to {release} and to get to what Michael Nobbs refers to as Important Work; to realign The Vital in the midst of various distractions and out-of-perspective work details.

AEDM Day 20 release

AEDM Day 20 hope anne lamott
To let go of something is when hope begins. -Anne Lamott

Listening to Anne Lamott readily admit her worry and control issues during her presentation on Tuesday was stabilizing. As I collaged, I began to gain perspective. I noticed a theme of three in the quotations and elements I was adding. Three is my guiding number for task management.

Prayer reminds of what we know.

AEDM Day 20 let it go
“Ripening is a softening and it is divinely determined … It cannot be hurried without compromised results.” This was my reminder of what I know as I created the gluebook page for Day 20.

Yesterday, I posted “part 1″ of these ideas: prayers and letting go …
